I'm actually a fan of the Atkins diet because I lost 50 pounds with it! This e-book is decent. I recommend buying this book if you're *interested* in the Atkins diet. This book will tell you the basics (plus a little more). If you decide Atkins is for you (to try), you'll want to buy the "New Atkins" book. This is a decent "Quick Start", but that's all it is meant to be.Good luck on your weight loss, diabetes control, or healthier eating habits! What will really make you successful is if you throw out (most) of what the USDA & FDA recommends you eat. Ignore the (bad) advice from doctors about cholesterol and saturated fats. I ate more saturated fats & eggs (cholesterol) than I ever have in my life, and my HDL/LDL/Triglycerides & Glucose numbers *all* improved. (If you believe mainstream nutritionists, there's no way my numbers could have improved.)Disclaimer: I write many reviews, and some (like this) are discounted in exchange for an honest review. I rated fairly irrespective of discount.

This book is a short, quick-start summary of the Atkins diet program. You get a sample one-week menu plan. It gives you the basics of the eating program and some of the reasons why it could work for you. The ad promised 50 low-carb recipes as well, and I didn't get those. The book could have benefited from a good proofreader as well. I got this book at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I've tried the Atkins program and it definitely worked for me in the past. My blood sugar, triglycerides, and cholesterol readings all improved significantly, but I couldn't stick to it longer than two or three months. When I went off the program, I gained all the weight back quickly. You pretty much have to make it a way of life if you want to make this work for you.

This is not a bad book if you are only wanting an overview of the Atkin's Diet, there is not a whole lot more you could expect from 20 pages. If you are wanting to learn about Atkin's Diet for research or before you dive in this is a good resource, however it does not touch on everything. The 7 day meal plan is just that a meal plan there are no recipes that go along with it. An OK book but I would have been highly disappointed had I paid $3 for it.Disclaimer: I was provided a sample of this product in exchange for a fair and honest review. After having my second child, I'm finding out that the baby weight is just not coming off as easily as it used to. So it's no surprise that my New Year's resolution was to really focus on losing the baby weight. Overall this book is a great read, its short sweet and to the point. My husband and I have done Atkins in the past we were successful I lost 70lbs and he lost 40lbs which helped us get pregnant and we had our one and only child together. But once I became pregnant I feel off the wagon and induldge in carbs BIG time. Now my daughter is 2.5 yrs old and I am finally ready to go back to Atkins weve tried a couple other diets here and there but this one works best for us. Order this book and it was just as advertised. This product offered a variety or recipes that were simple enough to make and didn't require too many ingredients. The instructions were easy enough to follow that I was able to successfully make my first meal from it with my limited cooking background. The product was delivered to my Kindle instantly. I haven't fully committed to the Atkins diet so I can not attest to the weight loss aspect of it but I am looking at changing my diet some and cutting several things out of my diet and the many options this book gives me will help with that drastically. I would recommend the book and buyer to all users.

I really enjoyed this book. The layout actually makes sense, with the chapters progressing in a way that make it a true starter's guide. Background information is given about the diet and how it works to help you lose weight. The food lists are very helpful. The menu plan my favorite part of this book. The menu sounds really good to me, and is definitely something I can see myself following. Overall, if you want to start Atkins, I recommend reading through this book. It is helpful and much less intimidating than the books you'll find at the library or book store.I received this book for free in exchange for writing this honest review.

If there's a failing in Rachel Wauck's terrific writing, it's that she fails to make the love story convincing, at least, to me.Maybe some plot spoilers.But I just about love everything else. Most of all, I adore Reggie, or, if we're being fancy about it, Her Royal Highness Princess Regina Alice Beswick Augustine-Saxon. Watch her hem and haw, as she ought, about whether to keep tinkering with car parts or embrace her royal destiny. See her fend off her childhood friend who wants to be more than friends. See her connect to her past by way of a fairy tale written and illustrated by her great-grandmother. See Reggie travel 4,212 miles to the grand Meadowbluff Palace at Christmastime. Then see her try her durndest to get her palace staff to call her "Reggie."In Hessenberg there is unrest. Not just because there's uncertainty about possibly being permanently folded into Brighton as a province but, also, because a notion is introduced that, maybe, royals aren't needed anymore when Hessenberg becomes independent, especially if it's a redneck royal.And what of our redneck royal? Or as Reggie refers to herself when trying on an unfortunate set of clothes that clash with her hair: Princess Match-on-Fire. Of the four female MCs in this series, she's my favorite. It could've been Avery Truitt, because I really liked how she was such a sparkplug in Once Upon A Prince, except when she later starred in A Royal Christmas Wedding, she'd become a more subdued character. But Reggie remains steadfast to her character. I dig how irrepressible she could be, and how approachable she is, and how her faith never wavered. It's also gratifying that we get a Susanna cameo, as well as several scenes with King Nathaniel II, very much a commanding presence. I wish that the book had delved more into Tanner's past, specifically - I did say spoilers, right? - his relationship with his 10-year-old twin daughters. But, no matter, I had a rollicking good time reading this one. I love modern-day fairy tales and, particularly, Cinderella pastiches, of which I feel this book is a very fine specimen. Crack this one open and sink into a marvelous story. Observe Reggie as she comes into her own, takes her rightful place on the throne, finds her one true love (I guess), and thwart a man's evil machinations with uncommon kindness.

This is my second read by this author, and I was drawn to this series after reading Once Upon a Prince, book 1 in this series; I picked it up when in was a deal of the day and enjoyed it, so I wanted to continue with this series. What girl does not love a good Princess story, especially when it is a involves an everyday girl next door; and it is even better, when a sweet romance ensures. This is a Christian based story, and there were subtle references to scripture and faith through out the book; this author is also gifted at all the historical feel of the premise of the backdrop of the story. She makes the whole legacy and background of the royal lineage seem plausible and believable. I also liked that Tanner had made mistakes in his past, that did not mark his future and deemed him still able to find love and happiness in his present and future. The romance was sweet, and was a nice way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon.

This is the second book in the Royal Wedding series. You don't need to read book 1 in this series although those characters do make cameos in this one book. The main characters, Reggie and Tanner, are really likable separately and together. Reggie is just a down-home girl who gets thrown into an extraordinary situation and Tanner is there to guide her even though he tries to keep his distance. Although the idea was interesting, I thought the story moved slowly and I felt as if I was waiting for something to happen. It might have been because I listened to this as an audiobook and getting through them takes longer. However, the narrator was excellent with all the different voices and accents. I enjoyed the mystery of Reggie's great-grandmother and the connection between the past and present. I wasn't too enthusiastic about the supernatural component, it seemed to lend itself towards a very pat ending but that is just my opinion. Overall, this was a solid entry in the Royal Wedding series and I look forward to the next book.

I would have given it five stars, but I wanted to see Regina rebuild the Duchy blessing the people, but anyhoo. It was a great book built on Christian values with a touch of the Devine and the Holy spirit.Regina goes on a quest she's not sure she's cut out for, she meets a handsome man who becomes her advisor and he's worse off the she is. Regina is royalty and her gram has left her a secret message. As she ask God for direction he gives her so much more.If you enjoy a nice clean romantic story this book is for you. Rachel Hauck weaves stories that keeps you on your toes and guessing about what's going to happen next.

But what Regina doesn't know is that her grandmother was part of the royal family and left many years ago to pursue her own destiny. Regina is talked into visiting the country right away. She doesn't want to leave her dad and friends but she feels like she has to go for a visit at least. She has to decide what she feels she needs to do--follow her roots to save her family's heritage or live her normal life as a small town car restorer. This is a difficult decision for Reggie but she has Tanner to help her through the strange situation that she is thrown in and they develop a relationship that brings them close to each other. Faith plays a big part in helping Reggie and Tanner through this time.This is a sweet story that is surreal but also lets us see God's hand in the outcome.

Totally unreadable ! Its a total waste of money. I read "Chemical Dependency" for 30 CEU from Homestead School Inc., and that's much easier to read and understand. I also read Addiction for Nurses by Hussein Rassool.

Poorly written, far too broad on information not seen in ANY of the exams. Some content matches the exam, but this wanders far off base for certification content requirements and content. This is a monopoly sale, meaning this IS THE MAIN BOOK required for the exam! Not succinct enough compared to nearly any other specialty exam, or matching books. This specialty is in DESPERATE NEED OF COMPETITION! Please, someone else get certified THEN publish a book with focused content! Yes, I'm certified.

The content of the core curriculum book is very dated and has a plethora of statistical numbers strewn through it but very little up-to-date information about direct care of patients suffering from an addiction. Although the outline served as a good guide I only give it to stars because The content was really lacking

I agree that it's poorly written. There are lots of grammatical errors. The format is ok for an overview,but I was expecting much more detailed information. I am disappointed.

The whole book is basically in an outline format, not a readable narrative form. I have never seen a book written this way. It is so hard to understand because only key words and phrases are written down. I would not recommend this book.

This book contains inaccuracies. Much of the material is outdated. It is written in an outline format, which makes it choppy and sloppy. There apparently was no editing for grammar or punctuation.I have paid to join the organization. I have paid to take the test. As an Advanced Practice Nurse, I am embarrassed for this nursing organization.I will offer to edit your next edition for free. I was an English minor in college. I'd like to see my nursing organization put a better foot forward. Addiction is killing people. We can't be left learning from a book where most of the citations are from the 1980-90s.

No questions and answers. Dry, dry, dry. Not worth the money.

A great book that provides the reader the principles to achieve his goals in life as well as have a successful relationship or dating life with the women of your dreams. It is short and to the point. But what makes the book outstanding is the fact that the chapters are short enough to read just one every day without exhausting more than 10 minutes at a time. A perfect book for the guy who is not an enthusiastic reader!

I was first off put by the tittle containing the word "Alpha". I've come to associate that word with the cheesy "pick up artist" community and "neck beard" types. However I gave it a shot. It's a pretty quick read with straight forward, realistic, advice which is appreciated. Most of the rules are geared to help your dating life and to help you become a better man in general. I only found a couple rules to contradict themselves or be too generalized. Still, well worth the read and I think I'll find myself reading this one every few weeks to refresh myself.

Easy to read ensemble of guy-wisdom collected from many sources. Written like a recipe collection but with themes, principles and personal examples for illustration. Author has the integrity to give credit to every reference and quote.It's a well written back to the basics practical guide.Good for newbies, anyone who wants to revisit their game, or those who are re-entering dating market. I'm in this last category.The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the price. Of course, value is in the mind of a consumer. For me, $4.99 would have been a fair price as compared to similar content on Amazon.

David wrote a great book. He has run down the set of principles needed to live life properly as a man. The book covers all areas of life and does so quickly and efficiently. It is just the right length and presented well.There are one or two disagreeable points, such as "dont seek a girlfriend" (so as not to get tied down -- i would disagree with this being the characteristic of a real man); but overall you'll benefit from this book.I dont know of any other like it.

As a woman, I enjoyed the book. Straight forward insight in a easy to read format (I read the book in under an hour). Obviously the picking up women information may not apply, but otherwise I did come out the other side with some solid take aways.

Good book designed for men. Men in America are mostly raised by a single mother and they don't know how to act like a real man. This book will teach you how to be desirable to women by your action, dressing up and look the best all the time, body language and working out and loving yourself and more. I will recommend this book to all the men to read.

This author is speaking directly to me. I've been meaning to put my own thoughts on the subject down in writing for a long time. David has already done that in an excellent fashion and more. I strongly recommend this eBook to anyone young or old who is trying to succeed at anything.

Excellent book that really helped me get back on track with my personal missions in my life. Very easy to read as my confidence was building throughout the chapters. I definitely recommend this book to all that need a reboot in their lives to continue on as an Alpha Male or Female! The author David De Las Morenas let's you realize early in the book that he is a normal down to earth guy like most of us who has put his goals in life in the proper prospective and shares his knowledge on how to stay focused and achieve these goals. Now I'm off to read his other books as well as a few he had recommended along the way.
